ABOUT OUR METHOD

Every time you practice at Body & Pole, you will learn something new and beautiful. Our classes follow a rigorous, proven methodology that is designed to not just foster progress and development, but to accelerate it. So that when you walk into a training and think I can’t do that, you walk out 75 minutes later thinking what’s next? With over 160 weekly classes, we offer the most comprehensive pole and aerial dance curriculum, anywhere.

Whether you are brand-new to pole or aerial, or just new to our studio, you should take advantage of either our first package rate (your first 5 classes for only $99), or first class rate (only $25)! These rates are good for any intro class, or class of your choice!

POLE

Strength, grace, and sensuality combine on this vertical stainless steel apparatus. Pole classes break down various spins, dance movement, floorwork, and conditioning exercises. In the process, you will improve body awareness and coordination. You will also increase upper body strength and flexibility. No worries if you have none of these skills. We will teach you all the basics needed to progress.

INTRO TO POLE

No prior pole dance experience required. This is where your journey begins! You will learn the fundamentals of pole dance technique and strength training that will prepare you to join our beginner level classes. We recommend that you take Intro to Pole 3-5 times before moving on. Please wear shorts or pants that can be rolled up to expose the back of your knees.

Aerial HOOP

Suspended in the air, Aerial Hoop (aka “lyra”), is a circular metal apparatus. You will learn how to create beautiful shapes below, inside, and above the apparatus, as well as various techniques to enter and exit the hoop. With conditioning exercises you will build strength, body awareness and coordination. No worries if you have none of these skills, we will teach you all the basics needed to progress. If you have some experience in Hoop we recommend you begin with Level 1 and inquire directly with your instructor to have your accurate level assessed.

INTRO TO HOOP

No prior aerial hoop experience required. If you are new to aerial dance, this is for you! You will begin with a series of strength, flexibility and conditioning exercises that will help prepare you to later on transition into the air. You will learn the various techniques to enter and exit the hoop, along with conditioning exercises using the hoop. We recommend you take Intro to Hoop 3-5 times and/or have approval prior to joining Level 1 Hoop.

Aerial SILK

Aerial Silk (aka “fabric“ or “tissu”) is an aerial apparatus consisting of two pieces of fabric suspended from the ceiling. You will learn how to climb and wrap the silks to create various holds and “locks” around your body. Aerial Silk will help you build upper strength, increase flexibility and coordination. No worries if you have none of these skills, we will teach you all the basics needed to progress. If you have some experience in Silk we recommend you begin with Level 1 and inquire directly with your instructor to have your accurate level assessed.

INTRO TO SILK

No prior aerial silk experience required. If you are new to aerial dance, this is for you! You will begin with a series of strength, flexibility and conditioning exercises that will help prepare you later on transition into the air.  You will learn basic climbing skills, wrist locks, foot locks, and how to use the fabric to practice inversions.  After grasping these fundamentals, you will be prepared to join Aerial Silk- Level 1. We recommend that you take Intro to Silk a minimum of 5 times or have approval prior to joining Aerial Silk – Level 1.

INTRO TO HAMMOCK

No prior aerial hammock experience required. If you are new to aerial dance, this is for you! We will begin with a warm-up and a series of strength & flexibility developing exercises that will prepare you to transition into the air. You will learn how to enter and exit the hammock gracefully and be introduced to the foundational skills, shapes and tricks that will prepare you to join Aerial Hammock – Level 1.

FLEX

Flex classes teach you proper and safe technique to enhance your flexibility. From increased ability to perform functional movement to advanced flexibility that can be translated to your aerial dance practice, FLEX is a great way to support whatever your goals may be.

FLEX LEVEL 1

Flex classes will train the proper and safe technique to enhance your flexibility and take it to the next level, using active and static stretches. There will be a focus on maintaining strength and alignment in deep stretches. You will develop body awareness and proper alignment while safely and gradually increasing your body’s range of motion.

CORE

Core classes support your pole and aerial journey by expanding your movement vocabulary while perfecting coordination, strength, flexibility, body awareness, and more.
