DONNA’S CURRENT FAVE JAMS

CLASS WITH DONNA FEELS LIKE…

…like one, big, happy misfit family! Throughout the 75 minutes every dancer transforms from human to superhuman. You will execute skills and techniques you had no idea your body was capable of and leave class with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and success, sincere friendships, and sore abs from laughing your face off the whole time.

MORE ABOUT DONNA’S MISSION

My work is a vehicle for all to witness the embodiment of both strength and vulnerability; athlete and artist. I use pole dancing as an entry point for all to harness the power of both being human and super-human.

My art hosts a generous environment that offers the opportunity to explore, feel, empathize, and stretch both the brains and the hearts of those participating. I desire to stimulate thought, redefine expectations, challenge the forms, and unearth questions.

Donna teaches pole dancing + flexibility training full time at the infamous Body & Pole in NYC and around the world via workshops, teaching residencies, and her own virtual platform. Donna hails from an experimental modern dance background. Originally from the Chicago-land area, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated as a James Scholar with honors. There she discovered pole dancing, fostered her love for experimentation and process-oriented work, and cultivated her passion for anatomy during her pre-medical studies.
