“I am so excited to share my first public playlist from our Finding Your Freestyle class at Body & Pole! Music is pretty much the most important factor for me when it comes to the environment supporting the journey. Sounds, beats, layers, tone, all need to frequently feel fresh for the mover’s auditory experience. If you desire your freestyle practice to contain those habit-breaking spontaneous choices, new patterns, new ideas, even greater freedom and personal style, it’s vital to keep surprising yourself with your music choices! Yes, it’s easier to work towards nailing that beat drop or melody you love and know best, but hearing something new, inspires your body to do something new! In keeping with class structure, I tried to take a sample of some of the songs we’ve been exploring in class (although class music changes frequently). You can enjoy this playlist like the journey of a FYF class, first the music takes its’ time, warming the body and helping you meditate on the present, then it goes onto bigger things.
