Anya started her hoop journey just shy of two years ago, and is thrilled to perform for a second time, with an homage to one of her favorite movies growing up.

3. Kat Evans
Coach: Kyla
At the age of 3, Kat was so enamored by the movie Dirty Dancing she started a dance party in the theater aisles. Since, her love of movement has taken many forms—recently aerial arts. As she moves into her 40s, she loves the reminder of what her body can achieve.

My performance is dedicated to my 10-year-old self in Elmhurst, Queens. To both inner and actual children—good luck! We are rooting for you.

5. Hannah Jane McMurray (@hjmcmurray)

Hannah Jane is an actor by trade and an aerialist by accident. She’s a curious cat who believes in learning something new every day and doing the scary thing first.

6. Auréliane Quiniou (@constanceauxfraises)

Back in the spotlight after 6 years, Auréliane brings 10 years of Moscow circus magic to the hoop, taking one last flight before soaring off to Canada!

Sarah began aerial as a personal challenge to explore her creative side to fight off clinical burnout. She didn’t expect to find a passion for dancing in the air!

8. Emma Ling-Hwei (@linghweiuphigh)

Emma Ling-Hwei (she/they) began her circus journey 4 years ago and is so grateful she did. Thank you to their Circus Academy family and their endlessly supportive spouse.

Kimmy is a registered nurse by day, performer by night. After having 3 kids she found herself in performing arts and has never been happier or more herself than she is to be on a stage!

This is Anna’s fifth time at student showcase. She loves her cat Pistachio, Britney Spears, and making new friends at hoop competitions that she sometimes wins.

11. Jurassic Marshmallow (@cuniculiculture)

Jurassic Marshmallow has been a theatre director, fintech strategist, fashion designer, archaeologist, photographer, corporate lawyer, always a storyteller and always confused. She speaks 8 languages and love climbing roofs.

Aisha began her aerial journey at Body & Pole just over 2 years ago. She’s thrilled to be making her performance debut at The Slipper Room to celebrate the culmination of her hard work!

May signed up to perform to celebrate a one-year milestone of discovering aerial arts. The song she chose is a reminder that we can always find something new and beautiful when we put ourselves out there.

When Caytha learned it was the 50th Anniversary of Rocky Horror Picture Show, how could she not do a tribute lyra drag act? She invites you all to sing along.

Lauren’s aerial journey began with curiosity and evolved by balancing bruises, beauty, and breathing through the pain. This debut piece reflects her exploration of movement, resilience, and the magic of leaving the ground.

She teaches algebra by day, but tonight she’s proving math isn’t the only thing that gets hard. After 4 years at Body & Pole, this math teacher knows her angles and, trust, they’re acute. But tonight she’s showing off the kind of curves no formula can handle.

Karen is a product designer by day and an aerial arts enthusiast by night. Already having performed an aerial hammock act, she’s excited to cross off a pole performance from her bucket list!

Peyton knew who she was from a very young age when her parents sent her to circus camp and she learned to walk on stilts. Pole is a good alternative.

Helen’s first pole performance is inspired by the video game Cyberpunk 2077. The journey of putting it together feels as meaningful as the result.

Bio: Rebecca is a sexual health researcher and writer who is celebrating her 50th trip around the sun by realizing her goal of dancing in this showcase. Her piece traces her journey from a shy, imaginative child into a woman who has finally come home to herself. Special shout out to her daughter Chloe, for the love, support, and help with the hair and makeup.

Mossimo started pole dancing with his husband, Nick. After setbacks and surgeries, he’s trying something new. He’s scared out of his mind but trying to be as brave as Nick.
