Carrie Seavoy
Carrie is an aerialist, pole dancer, yoga teacher, fitness instructor, and musician based in NYC. She discovered the world of aerial when she attended a Body and Pole Halloween show and has been hooked ever since.

 

Harley & Ivy

Rae Rear
Rae Rear is an aerialist, writer, teacher, and actor. This is her first duo performance. Thanks to Viv for suggesting “a sapphic superhero duet with zero men involved.”

8 years ago, Vivienne performed her first aerial hoop act in this very studio. She is thrilled to return with a Pride-month ode to aerial, comic books, and chaotic bisexuals.

Stephanie Hou
Software engineer by day and aerial artist by night, Stephanie finds freedom in movement. Tonight she celebrates strength, artistry, and the joy of telling stories above the ground.

Gina is a full time pole dance instructor at Body & Pole and Co-Artistic Director of PILLARS Pole Dance Company. She is so excited for the show tonight and to celebrate what everyone made together!

Ben Lavon is a research scientist and former professional Latin ballroom dancer. Having switched to pole, he now performs contemporary pole as a founding member of the PILLARS Pole Dance Company.

I started Silks for play, not pressure. Aerial lets me explore, create, & move without expectations – one spin, one climb, and one moment of wonder at a time. It healed me, literally saving my life. But now I’m here to show you the pain that goes into art.

Baker by day, performer by night. Sweet Cavity has been with Body & Pole since 2023. Trains in 4 apparatuses, but her bread and butter is aerial silks.

Nadja McGlone @ NadjaMonet
Nadja has practiced aerial silks for 2.5 years. This is her second performance and first partner piece. By day, she’s a jewelry designer; aerial is her creative outlet and stress reliever from corporate life.

The Aerial Psychiatrist @ aerialpsychiatrist
They make balloon animals for patients by day, do aerial by night, and remain grateful for their circus, including friends, family, and pets.

Gordon is an emerging aerialist in NYC. He finds strength in the air and hopes you will share in a little bit of joy through this performance.

Muze Huang @ muzehuang
After years of climbing walls, Muze decided to climb into the air. She loves exploring strength, artistry, and creative ways to move.

Fahmi Rash @ Fahmiplays
Fahmi has always been a storyteller. As an aerialist, she uses music and flight to share some of those stories with you.

Amanda Le @ amanda.plies
Amanda is a Texas-born dancer with a foundation in classical ballet. She continues expanding her movement practice through diverse dance disciplines and is excited to return to aerial arts this year.

Stacey Hull @ estaceyhotsauce
Stacey is an LA native who came to NYC for theatre and dance. She is the director of Brazilian dance company Casa Brazilia and a fitness professional. Her love of theatre, dance and fitness brought her to the world of aerial arts and this will be her first time performing as an aerialist.

Brystian is a full-time student at NYU with a double major in experimental theater & international relations & a minor in religious studies. What do those degrees even mean??? he has no clue, and that’s why he’s already on a pole.

David Hocker @ calamityscience
David is a silks, rope, and lyra artist that found circus late in life. His work explores themes of legacy, generational trauma, unnatural movement, science, nature, and courtship.

 

Cat & Saffron

Cat & Saffron are both managers at Body and Pole and have performed together before. They’re excited to continue exploring their relationship and hope you learn something from this piece.
