Mel is originally from Miami, FL but moved to NYC in 2014.
While she trained in ballet and jazz as a child, she moved away from traditional types of movement and began exploring aerial arts in 2012. After attending an open call for a go-go dance company in Miami, she made the transition from two part time jobs, to a full-time dance one! She has been actively working as a performer for over 10 years and has danced in countless nightclubs, festivals, and private events, all over the East coast.
Along with being a dancer, she is also an analogue film photographer and until recently, ran a Darkroom and photo lab in the Bronx.
