One of the hallmark programs at Body & Pole is our work-study program. Through this year-long commitment, you’ll learn the ins and outs of running a studio, and have the opportunity make pole and aerial a more significant part of your life.

In previous years, selected participants have come from diverse backgrounds. Some have extensive dance and movement experience, while others have sought a change from a corporate lifestyle.

Rigging, customer service, and studio maintenance are all a part of regular shift tasks. Shifts are part-time, 16 to 18 hours spread between two shifts. Work studies receive unlimited classes, training space, and discounts on specialty workshops and merchandise.

Two groups are hired a year, one in January and one in June. The selection process happens in two rounds. Preliminary selections are made via an online application and selected finalists will receive an invitation to interview.

Many of our participants complete the program to become aerial and pole performers and/or teachers. Several of the instructors and operations staff at Body & Pole are former work-study members, however there is no guarantee of employment at Body & Pole upon completion.

Our next group of selected applicants will begin June 2018- are you ready to join the team?
