The B&P Scholarship Program is a year-long elite training program designed to launch a career in pole, aerial, or contortion. With an individualized weekly program, participants will have the opportunity to train intensively through their medium of choice, while developing the skills necessary to become a working professional.

We are so excited to welcome our first Scholarship Program recipient, Yana!

Yana hails from Russia. Her mom introduced her to ballet at the age of 8. Little did she know at that time that dance would become her lifetime passion. She trained in ballet and modern dance, until she was introduced to the magical world of pole dancing.

Yana always dreamt about a career in dancing, but social and family pressure often discouraged her. It all has changed when she became a Body & Pole work-study in January 2017. Seeing so many talented, successful, and professional dancers in one place and being able to learn from them every day has been a life changing experience. Along with getting stronger on the pole, she was able to learn aerial dance and added lyra to her skill set. For her passion and dedication, she has been granted a Scholarship by Body & Pole to pursue a dance career.

Yana worked as a performer and instructor in Russia, Europe, and America. She competed and won in PSO Level 4 Division (2017). In 2018, she plans to perform in various projects and compete in professional divisions in the USA and worldwide. Her goals are to become a recognized performer and outstanding instructor.
