FAQ

  • Do I need any dance background?
No you don’t. You will learn everything you need to know at our classes. Start in the beginner classes on the schedule, and slowly work your way up when you feel ready to.
  • I have no upper body strength, will that be a problem?
It is not a problem. Our job is to get you stronger quickly. We will teach you everything you need to know on how to become stronger in your upper body, core and all over body fitness.
  • What should I wear?
You should wear short shorts and a tank top. Sports Bras are recommended for protection and support. We need to have a lot of skin exposed, as you need to stick to the pole. Fabric will slide right off the pole, giving you no grip.
  • Should I bring my high heels?
Heels are not required, especially for those of you with no pole dance experience. You will work your way up to adding the weight of the heels to your workout. Heels look great but make it harder initially. Street shoes are not allowed, you will be allowed to wear only “stripper “ heels, as they are safer and appropriate for this workout. Regular high heels are not allowed.
  • Am I too big to pole dance?
Pole Dance is for women of all shapes and sizes. You will definitely trim down as you go, and will see more body definition. Pole dance is a whole body workout. You get muscle toning and strength along with cardio vascular exercise, all combined into an extremely fun hour and a half workout.
  • Is there a changing room in the studio? Showers?
There is a changing area by the studio, though we do not have lockers for your personal belongings. There are NO showers on premises.
  • What is I show up late? Can I still join the class?
You are required to show up 10-15 min ahead of class, as we will not be able to let you in late. Be here early enough to change and be ready to start class on time.
  • What else should I know?
You should NOT wear ANY lotion on your hands and legs the day of class. Sweating will release the lotion back to the surface, and you will be sliding off the pole. Your pole partners will not be happy, as they will be sliding as well. So absolutely no lotion. Leave your jewelry at home. It will be in the way, and it is not safe to leave it unattended.
