Aerial hoop (aka “lyra”) is a circular apparatus suspended from a single point.
INTRODUCTION TO AERIAL HOOP: If you have NEVER taken an aerial hoop (aka “lyra”) class and are new to aerial apparatus, this is the class for you. In this class you will learn the various techniques to enter and exit from the hoop, along with conditioning, strength, and flexibility exercises. After grasping these fundamentals, you will be comfortable joining beginner-level aerial hoop classes. We recommend that you take this intro class three to four times, or have an instructor’s approval to take beginner-level classes.

These are not the only moves taught in this class, but they should help with understanding the level of class you are signing up for. You should be able to perform these moves well, in order to move to the next level up.
