BODY & POLE LEVEL SYSTEM
Once you have taken at least 1 POLE VIRGINS class (Some people need 3 to 6 classes), and feel that you completely understand and get the moves you learned in class, you are ready to join any of our LEVEL 1 BEGINNER classes, DO NOT sign up for LEVEL 2 BEG/INT classes without first attending BEGINNER classes or a consent from one of the instructors.LEVEL 1 – BEGINNERLEVEL 2 – BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATELEVEL 3 – INTERMEDIATELEVEL 4 – INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCEDLEVEL 5 – ADVANCED
POLE VIRGINS (FIRST TIMERS) INTRODUCTION TO POLE: If you have NEVER taken a pole dance class and are a total pole virgin, this is the class for you. (WE RECOMMEND TAKING THIS CLASS 3-5 TIMES). In this class you will learn the fundamentals of pole dance technique & strength training. From walking around the pole, to basic spins and floor work you will walk away with all you need to join our beginner level classes.
POLE DANCE – LEVEL 1 (BEG) *Must have taken at least 1-2 POLE VIRGINS classes first (We recommend between 3-5 times). It’s time to take what you’ve learned in our Pole Virgins classes and bring it to the next level. This class was created to teach you everything you need to know in order to progress to our Level 2 classes. You won’t only have a great time but you will get an amazing cardio and strength training full body work out. Learn how to spin, climb, move smoothly up and down and all around the pole and build your strength to prepare you for inversions.
POLE DANCE – LEVEL 2 (BEG–>INT) *Only for students who have been taking Level 1 classes for at least 6 weeks, have prior training in a different facility or been approved by an instructor to take this class. Ready to go upside down? This is the class for you. Created for those who are already working on basic spins & climbs and want to take it to the next level. You will be learning basic inversions and more advanced climbs, spins and floor work.
POLE DANCE FLUIDITY – LEVEL 2 (BEG–>INT) **Only for students who have been taking Level 2 classes for at least 4 weeks or have prior training in a different facility. In this level 2 pole dancing class, you will focus on flexibility, core conditioning, arm strength and body awareness to execute level 2 pole dance moves and spins. Rather than static moves and individual tricks, you will learn to flow your pole dancing moves into sequences.
POLE DANCE FLUIDITY – LEVEL 3/4 (INT) In this intermediate /advanced class, focus remains on building your strength and flexibility with additional tricks and more advanced movement. As you advance your pole art, this class will focus on musicality, body alignment, finding your own style and improving your quality of movement to become a better dancer or performer.
POLE DANCE – LEVEL 3 (INT) For students who feel very comfortable with inversions, leg hangs, climbing, and spin pole. Must have been taking our level 2 classes for at least a few months before signing up for this class, or at least 1 full year of extensive training in other facilities.If you are comfortable with all your level 2 inversions, we are ready to take you to the next level of strength and grace. In this class we raise the bar with more advanced inversions and holds as well as spins. You will learn how to put it all together in some beautiful combos, as we help you find your own strength and style. Level 2 (Beg—>Int) classes are required prior to this class, or an approval of one of our instructors.
POLE DANCE – LEVEL 4 (INT–>ADV) This class is not for the faint of heart. You have been taking Intermedeiate LEVEL 3 for a while and are ready for more, now let our instructors challange you even more. DO NOT take this class without an instructor approval. *If you are visiting from out of town or another facility, please give us a call to find out if this is the proper class for you.
CIRQUE DE POLE – LEVEL 5 (ADVANCED) Ready to drop some jaws and defy gravity? This class is not for the faint of heart. This is where the real pros come to play. You will learn everything the pros know how to do, from handspring variations, to drops and moves that will test the limits of your strength and flexibility. Whether an athlete, hobbyist or a performer, learn how to create and deliver a powerful, clean and dazzling performance, giving Cirque De Soleil a run for their money.Can take only with an instructor approval.
POLE’-OGRAPHY – LEVEL 2 (BEG–>INT)
**Only for students who have been taking Level 2 classes for at least 4 weeks or have prior training in a different facility. Every month on the first class of that month, you will learn a new routine and a brand new style of dance, from Hip Hop, to Rock, to contemporary and Burlesque, you will have a whole month to perfect your skills and learn some new sass and flow. Learn to combine the moves into one beautiful flowing song, adding your own style and learning some new tricks all at the same time! This class is NOT for beginners as you will be expected to climb & invert.You should take at least 2 months of BEG classes before you join this class.
POLE DANCE (OPEN LEVEL – NOT FOR BEGINNERS) NOT FOR BEGINNERS – If you are taking Level 2 classes or have been pole dancing for over 6 months at other facilities, you can join this class. In this class the instructor will teach level 2 moves and advance them to your ability and level. Teachers are open to student suggestions on moves they would like to work on that day.
POLE POWER AND CONDITIONING (OPEN LEVEL) NOT FOR BEGINNERS, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO INVERT PROPERLY.This class is all about the power, strength training and conditioning with Flexibility to add to the balance. NOT for beginners! Level 2 and up only. If you want to take your repertoire to the next level, or you are an advanced student who wants to nail those dynamic power moves every time, come practice your power moves and build your strength rapidly.
FLEXIBILITY TRAINING (OPEN LEVEL) In this class you will learn, the proper and safe technique to enhance your flexibility and take it to the next level, using active and static stretches. Wether this is your first time working on your splits and back bends, or you are a professional contortionist, this class is for you.
POLE DIVAS – OPEN LEVEL (NOT FOR BEGINNERS)**Only for students who have been taking Level 2 classes for at least 4 weeks or have prior training in a different facility. Bring your heels and sassy sexy self to this super fun class. You will learn how to strut your stuff, sex it up and put it all together in a fabulous routine and become the diva you always wanted to be.Beware Beyonce, Body & Pole is in da house!
SPINNY POLE – LEVEL 2 (BEG–>INT) **Only for students who have been taking Level 2 classes for at least 4 weeks or have prior training in a different facility. In this class you will take your Level 2 moves to the spin pole. Learning creative ways to flow up and down the pole as it spins around. Must be comfortable with basic inversions.
SPINNY POLE – LEVEL 3/4 (INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED)
Only for students who have been taking Level 3 classes for at least 6 weeks or have prior training in a different facility for at least 2 years. In this class you will master the spin pole technique and really challenge yourself with more advanced combinations and tricks on the spinning pole.
VERTICAL BALLET BARRE – (OPEN LEVEL) This is NOT a pole dance class, though you will be using the pole. Learn all the fundamentals of Ballet Barre classes, only using your pole as the barre. Get lean long muscles, strong core and legs and the posture of a real ballerina. Bring Ballet shoes if you want, or stay bare foot.
AERIAL FABRIC DANCE (OPEN LEVEL) This class uses a fabric hammock suspended from a single point to allow individuals full movement on both a vertical and horizontal plane and all angles in between. Aerial dance classes combine dance-based choreography with acrobatic aerial skills to create a full body workout that is challenging, fun and fluid. Note: We encourage students to wear clothing that covers the backs of their knees and torso for all aerial classes, other than pole. This will help avoiding burns caused by friction with the fabric or hoop.
AERIAL HOOP (OPEN LEVEL) Aerial hoop/Lyra is a circular apparatus suspended from a single point. Build strength, showcase flexibility and learn to flip, turn, roll, pose, and transition positions. Beginning with basic skills and conditioning, the class gradually progress into a fluid choreographed sequence and artistic performance skills. Note: We encourage students to wear clothing that covers the backs of their knees and torso for all aerial classes, other than pole. This will help avoiding burns caused by friction with the fabric or hoop.
OPEN POLE PLAY TIME THIS IS NOT A CLASS, INSTRUCTOR IS NOT PRESENT FOR SPOTTING OR TEACHING. Come practice what you learned in class, bring a friend or come alone. This is not a class, you will not be learning anything new.
P3 – Performance, Power, Physique Bring a towel and your sneakers to class. Workout attire appropriate. OPEN TO ANY LEVEL. This high intensity, full body, conditioning class will increase your athletic performance and explosive power and help you attain the physique of an athlete. According to Nerijus, “If you want to look like an athlete, train like one!” Take your training to the next level with, speed agility drills and explosive power moves.
