In case you haven’t realized by now, Body & Pole has an affinity for the body. Bodies in motion, bodies pushing past their limits and growing stronger, more flexible, more confident. We love them so much that we see it fit to honor them, so we are doing just that!
This Thursday, July 21th, from 8-11pm, Body & Pole is having it’s third installment of “The Wall at Body & Pole,” with an art gallery opening complete with wine, raffles and class discounts, a selfie station and photo booth, great music and of course, aerial performances by the Body & Pole Staff (And yes, it’s totally free!). July’s featured artist is Anduin Vaid. As a former professional “ex-professional bodybuilder and powerlifter,” Anduin Vaid seems to be quite taken by the power of the human body too. His work is seated directly in the crossroads of medical drawings and mystical interpretations and does a beautiful job of honoring the human form. And, did we mention that you can buy any of the work off the wall?
Speaking of honoring the human form, Body & Pole just had it’s first Body & Pole Sketch Night, and it definitely won’t be the last! This one was unlike any art event you’ve been to before because all of the figures for your artistic pleasures were aerialists! Even for those that don’t consider themselves an artist, this was a time to explore another artistic muscle. It was a fun and new experience, stay tuned for the next one!
